This posting is intended to inform and educate clients and users / visitors to client sites about the issue of browser compatibility. Accredited Design Websites are powered by modern Web 2.0 software and modern databases. Most computer users worldwide are using the most recent version of Mozilla Firefox, and some use Chrome, Safari, Opera and Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE). Because we use no less than modern & proven effective web technology, our sites are best compatible with the latest versions of any browser. The compatibility issues seem to arise exclusively by users of Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6), who suggest the site in question doesn't look like they saw it at a friend's house, etc. This is because Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) was released on August 27, 2001, a few months before the Windows XP Service Pack 1 Operating System. So, we're talking about a 10 year old browser trying to display web technology ten years superior to it. This is like expecting a 2011 BMW vehicle's parts to be totally interchangable with a 2001 BMW. It doesn't happen because technology increases over the years. We all know how fast electronics and automotive technology advances every year, let alone every decade and the internet is no different. THE GOOD NEWS for Internet Explorer 6 users is that Microsoft provides FREE updates to not only the Internet Explorer software, but all (most) of it's operating systems as well. You can update your MSWindows based system for free at: windowsupdate.microsoft.com Note that you must go to the link above in Microsoft Internet Explorer and have a legitimate, valid (not illegal or hacked) copy of your Windows OS in order to take the updates provided there.
